Aslett Antiques & Mid Century is a family business, run by the same family across five generations of dealing in antiques. We have been trading in Perth since 1993 and we are one of Australia's largest importers of antique and mid-century pieces.
Note for the client: your current site states two different founding decades on two different pages ("started in the 1890's in the UK" on About Us; "started in the UK in the 1980s" on the Mid Century page). We have left the exact year out until you confirm it. Tell us the correct decade and we will add a single, consistent founding line here.
We go and find it ourselves
Most of our stock comes home with us from the UK and across Europe. We travel, inspect and choose pieces by hand, looking for quality, condition and a piece that has a story worth telling. Stock arrives by the container, which is why what is on the floor changes through the year. If you want to hear when the next container lands, join our mailing list.

Restored by hand, in our own workshop
We have a fully trained restoration team, and we restore each piece sympathetically using traditional methods. That means keeping the character, the patina and the original detail wherever we can, and only doing what the piece needs to be sound and usable again. When you ask about a piece, we will tell you exactly what work has been done.
What five generations buys you
Buying an antique or mid-century piece is a matter of trust. You want to know it is genuine, that the condition is honest, and that the person selling it knows what they are talking about. Because this is a family trade we have grown up in, we can tell you the period, the maker where it is known, the country of origin, the materials, and the restoration we have done. That is the difference between us and an online listing.
